- OcuSeal – Ocular Bandage
HyperBranch’s OcuSeal ocular bandage provides a protective barrier while stabilizing ocular wounds following surgical or non-surgical trauma and other ocular conditions.
OcuSeal is intended for direct application on the ocular surface to form an ocular bandage, to cover an opening in the eye, and to provide an immediate protective barrier.
- Dura Sealant
HyperBranch's Dura Sealant is a synthetic two part hydrogel, for use as an aid in Dura repair such as: Intracranial Aneurysms, Tumors, or Spinal Disc Disease. The Dura Sealant is a sterile device that is applied as a liquid and sets up quickly to form a sealant gel over a dural defect. The Dura Sealant has been proven to stop leaks and is capable of maintaining a seal under high pressures. It is designed to degrade as natural healing occurs.
- Pleural Sealant
HyperBranch's Pleural Sealant is a specially tuned hydrogel that, when used in conjunction with sutures or staples, creates a seal against air leaks. The Pleural Sealant, like the Dura Sealant, is applied as a liquid and thus flows across the affective sight allowing for complete coverage prior to set
up. Once the Pleural Sealant is set it protects against leaks until natural healing occurs.
- Tissue Plane Sealant
HyperBranch's Tissue Plane Sealant is planned for use as a sealant to close dead space by adhering apposing tissue surfaces. Tissue Pane applications are common in a variety of surgical procedures such as: Abdominoplasty,
where the use of drains in necessary to remove the blood/serum fluid from
pockets between tissue layers. The standard of practice is to use drains to remove this fluid. Our Tissue Plane Sealant will eliminate the need for these drains and the associated complications.
Our Technology
All HyperBranch products are synthetic hydrogels which predictably polymerize in a moist field, flow optimally depending on the application and are bio-degradable as the tissue re-establishes itself. The biocompatible composition is stored at room temperature and is delivered through custom applicators designed to meet the specific needs of the procedure.
Hyperbranch’s polymers have superior intrinsic properties compared to their conventional linear polymer cousins. Created from highly branched structures known to be biocompatible, HyperBranch polymers have a significantly different structure than conventional linear polymers. HyperBranch’s products can be designed to different rates of biodegradation (depending on formulation) and engineered functionality.
The advantages of these polymers include: lower swelling, superior tissue adherence and strength, haemostatic properties, ease of use, and lower manufactured cost.
These characteristics and the ability to manipulate the properties give rise to the enormous potential for a wide range of products to address unmet clinical needs in vision, surgical repair, drug delivery and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
